Terms & Conditions

Bookings

By booking at Port Wakefield Caravan Park, you are entering into a contract and agreeing to abide by the terms and conditions as detailed below.

  • Guests are responsible for checking the booking details. Those named on the booking are responsible for all persons on site during the stay, including visitors.
  • All reservations require full payment to be made at the time of the reservation. Without payment, we are unable to make your reservation.
  • No site or cabin is guaranteed.

Key Access

Cabin keys are accessed and returned via the key-café which can be located via the park map. Park guests will receive their site number and a key code to access the key-café via text message upon booking.

The Port Wakefield Caravan Park does not have an on-site office.

Check-in

Sites – Check-in: 12pm

Cabin – Check-in: 2pm

Vehicles must be parked within the prescribed area and not on roadways or vacant sites.

Check-out

All cabins and sites are to be vacated by 10am on the day of departure.

Please ensure cabin keys are placed in the key box before departure.

Cancellations

All cancellations must be received in writing to Wakefield Regional Council at [email protected].

Refunds will be applied for cancellations made 7 days or more prior to arrival, subject to a 20% administration fee.

Refunds will not be applied for cancellations made less than 7 days prior to arrival.

Minimum & Maximum Stays

There is no minimum stay requirement.

Maximum length of stay for tourist visitors is 28 days.

No new long term or annual sites available.

Occupancy and Additional Guests

Powered and un-powered sites must not exceed the maximum occupancy of 6 occupants (max 4 adults) per site. For cabins, the maximum occupancy will apply as noted upon booking on the website.

All accommodation types will incur additional charges for 2 or more people as follows:

  • Adult rates apply to persons aged 16 years & over.
  • Child rates apply to children aged 4-15 years.
  • Infants aged 3 & under stay without charge.

Children

Children must be supervised by an adult at all times and in all areas of the park.

Pets

If you wish to bring your pet to Port Wakefield Caravan Park, please ensure you notify Wakefield Regional Council by making a note in the comments section at the time of booking online, or by calling the Council office during business hours. Pets are not permitted in cabins or park amenities under any circumstance, but will be permitted under strict control at site accommodation. Pet owners must ensure they keep their pets on a leash at all times and are not left unattended.

Pet owners are required to pick up and dispose of their pet faeces immediately and ensure their pet does not disturb other guests at the park. Please ensure that your pet is registered, microchipped and is fully vaccinated before you bring them to the park.

Park guests agree and accept to take full responsibility of any personal injury or damage caused by the pet whilst in the park. Pets that are causing problems will be asked to leave the park.

Visitors

Visitors of park guests are welcome at the park. Visitors must vacate the park by 10pm. Visitor parking is available on Wakefield Street and Burra Street.

It is the responsibility of the park guest to ensure their visitors abide by the terms and conditions. You will be liable for any breaches that are incurred by your visitors.

Vehicles

Vehicles must not exceed 10km p/hour when travelling through the park. Vehicles, boats and/or trailers must not be parked on roadways, other sites or restrict access to other sites. Please ensure your vehicle is parked in the designated parking area for your site.

Laundry

The laundry is located in the central amenities block and contains coin-operated washing machines and dryers.

Rubbish

Please ensure that all rubbish is sealed in bags and placed in the waste bins situated around the park. The park also has can and bottle bins for the disposal of cans and bottles.

Wi-Fi

Unfortunately, wi-fi is not available at Port Wakefield Caravan Park.

Smoking and Vaping

All Port Wakefield Caravan Park cabins and amenities are smoke and vape free. It is prohibited by law to smoke or vape within 10 metres of any public building. Smoking inside your accommodation or facilities may incur an expiation fee of $105, maximum penalty $750.

Noise

For the comfort of other guests, we ask that noise be kept to a minimum after 10.00pm.

Fire Regulations

For safety reasons, drawbars for vans must face the roadway. Fires are not permitted at the park.

Behaviour

Wakefield Regional Council reserves the right to immediately evict any guest, visitor or member of the public for any behaviour that is socially unacceptable, causing damage, disturbing guests, using unacceptable language or are in breach of any other park rules.  In the event of an eviction, all money held will be forfeited.

Damage / Loss

All registered guests shall be liable for any loss or damage to the appliances, furniture, keys, fixtures and fittings in the accommodation – normal wear and tear excluded. A fee may be charged if excessive cleaning is required after departure.

The Wakefield Regional Council takes no responsibility for the loss or damage of any personal items.
